The Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands, Inc. joins the San Beda Alabang Environmental Law Society and the Bedan Biodiversity Conservation Society for a coastal cleanup drive at the Las Pinas – Paranaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area. This activity was held at the end of the 4-day ECOFEST: Bedans for the Environment event organised by the San Beda student organisations. The students picked up trash around the coasts of the two islands – Long Island in Las Pinas and Freedom Island in Paranaque. Based on the students accounting, the garbage they collected are mostly single-use plastic such as straws, plastic bags, wrappers, bottles and even diapers.
