A kick-off celebration of Earth Day was held at the Las Piñas – Parañaque Critical Habitat and Eco-Tourism Area (LPPCHEA) on 01 April 2017. Senator Cynthia Villar was leading the activities of the celebration. Among the activities were a short program and ground-breaking ceremony for the Visitors’ Centre of the Las Piñas – Parañaque Wetland Park which is going to be built at LPPCHEA. These were followed by coastal clean-up which was participated by various groups and nature appreciation walk at LPPCHEA.
